First Fridays is a monthly cultural event highlighting local artists, performers, exhibits, and more! Stop by one of the many art galleries offering new exhibits and special performances, then make a night of it in downtown!

First Fridays’ primary purpose is to highlight the organizations and spaces that are bringing local, regional, and even national art to the Lynchburg community. Downtown Lynchburg has an ever-expanding tradition of art, culture, dining, and shopping.

Join us for an exciting First Friday celebration. An Art Review, provides a wonderful opportunity to witness the artistic journey of young creatives as they develop their skills and unique perspectives. This exhibition showcases the creative talents of every James River Day School student.

VECTOR SPACE

Vector Space is excited to again be hosting it's monthly skill share and open house. This April 2nd we will be working with the world famous art of mosaic! Volunteers, members, Junior Makers and our public community will be joining us on this learning journey to create their own tiled and grouted mosaic design. Volunteers will be on hand to give tours of the vast makerspace and guide you each step of the way through the evening’s activity.

First Friday is always free, family friendly and open to the public, entry donations of $2 or more are welcome and very appreciated. We look forward to seeing you there! This event is made possible by The Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation, the Downtown Lynchburg Association, amazing volunteers, by donors & community members like you.

LYNCHBURG ART CLUB

The LAC’s April 2025 Exhibit – 5 Views by 5 Artists Featuring the artwork of Claudia Jutras, Kelly Mattox, Jo Overbey, Carolyn Prince and James Tracey

The Exhibition will open on First Friday, April 4, 2025, through Sunday, April 27, 2025.

The Lynchburg Art Club & Gallery invites you to the First Friday reception for their April exhibition. The reception will be on April 4, 2025, from 5pm to 7:30pm

Gallery hours after First Friday are Thursday - Friday, 1-5pm and Saturday - Sunday - 1:30-4:00pm (or by appointment).
